He joins Keeping Up with Gen Y to talk about how Gen Y can be the driving force behind nonprofits innovating and thriving in the digital age. He also provides insight on ways nonprofits can learn from the for-profit business model to capitalize on shifting attitudes.
MORE ABOUT DAVID J. NEFF
David Neff has been doing things that have never been done in nonprofits for the last 10 years. He is co-founder of Lights. Camera. Help., a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging other cause-driven organizations to use film and video to tell their stories, as well as the Internet start-up HelpAttack!, which allows donors to pledge an amount of money for each action they take on Facebook and Twitter, and then give it to their favorite nonprofits.
A digital strategist consultant by trade, David currently serves as the president of the Austin Social Media Club. And in 2009, he was named the American Marketing Association Nonprofit Social Media Marketer of the Year as well as one of the Top 20 Social Media People in Texas by the Austin American-Statesman.
Recently, David channeled all his nonprofit and social media expertise into a book, The Future of Nonprofits: Innovate and Thrive in the Digital Age. Along with co-author Randal Moss, David helps organizations capitalize on internal innovation and predicts future trends to remake and reshape their culture, structure, and staff.
