This issue is close to my heart. A friend a mine passed a year ago due to an inoperable brain tumor. She went through rigorous chemotherapy and radiation, and also some experimental treatments. She suffered from extreme nausea after her treatments. It was so bad, she could hardly keep anything down and was unable to acquire the protein and nutrients her body so badly needed to heal. She went to a doctor in Michigan to try get a prescription for the medical marijuana, after she had exhausted all other options. The doctor would not give it to her because of his personal issues with the drug. She had to fight for an extended period of time just to get it. When she did finally receive a prescription for the drug, she said it helped tremendously. I believe that anybody suffering in the manor she was shouldn't be denied relief. It is sad that not all states allow the use of it for people who are in pain and suffering. I hope that soon it will be available for use of all seriously ill people.
