Mainstream news media tend to focus their stories on how issues affect their typical audience, who are 35 and older. But how does that coverage enlighten and energize the under 30 crowd? It doesn’t.

That’s where Y Gen Out Loud steps in. We cover the issues of the day from the perspective of Generation Y. We understand what parts of an issue are most important to Generation Y because we are Generation Y. We connect to our peers, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, brothers and sisters in a way that no other news outlet is doing right now.

Y Gen Out Loud is a 501(c)(3) organization, which means we rely on the generosity of regular folks and businesses to carry out our mission of providing a nonpartisan forum for young people to come together and discuss the issues of the day. By donating to us, you will help maintain the daily operations of the Y Gen newsroom, support the next generation of journalists, and help us promote civic engagement among 18- to 30-year-olds.
