Tamara Bell
Tamara Bell is the editor-in-chief and president of Y Gen Out Loud. She is also owner of Bell Media Group, a Web site design and writing company.
Tamara began her journalism career as a staff reporter for the Dallas Times Herald. A few years later, she moved to York, Pa., as a political reporter for the York Dispatch, covering local, state, and national government as well as writing investigative stories for the mid-sized daily newspaper.
A Texas girl at heart, Tamara returned to Dallas a year later to work as press relations director for the re-election campaign of U.S. Rep. John Bryant. The next year, she moved to Austin and the Texas Legislature, where she stayed for 15 years. While at the Legislature, Tamara worked for Democratic House members as chief-of-staff and press secretary, and as a senior policy analyst for the Senate State Affairs Committee chaired by a Republican senator.
In 1996, Tamara became co-owner of a political newsletter covering state issues and elections. As editor-in-chief, Tamara helped shape the weekly publication into a must-read for state officials, legislative aides, and lobbyists. More recently, Tamara wrote a regular column analyzing coverage by the Texas Capitol Press Corps for an online political publication. She also works as a lecturer in the Advertising Department at The University of Texas at Austin.
Tamara earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin, and her B.A. in Journalism from Texas A&M University. She resides in Austin with her son, Jackson.
Polly Bell D’Addabbo
Polly Bell D’Addabbo is vice president of Y Gen Out Loud.
Polly began her broadcast career with an internship at CNN in Washington, D.C. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, she returned to the nation’s Capitol to work as a producer and reporter for AP Radio. To pursue her goal of being an on-air anchor, Polly moved to Redding, Calif., where she anchored the nightly newscast.
She returned to College Station in 1995 as the morning news anchor at the CBS affiliate. Two years later, she joined the news program at WFSB in Hartford, Conn., as the morning and noon anchor. In 2002, Polly changed careers, spending three years in Public Relations with Baldwin Alverio Media Marketing in Hartford.
She continues to work in media, as a commercial spokesperson for several companies, including Comcast Corporation, the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services. Polly resides in Kensington, Conn., with her husband Tim and their two children, Sam and Emma.
June Deadrick
June Deadrick is a member of the Y Gen Out Loud Board of Directors.
Since February 2004, June has served as the director of Texas State Relations (Government Affairs) for CenterPoint Energy. Before assuming this post, June worked as senior specialist with Reliant Energy’s Government Relations Division and manager for CenterPoint Energy – Government Affairs. In her current position, she is responsible for interaction with every level of elected officials and their staffs.
In addition to advocating policy positions for CenterPoint Energy, she also works with elected officials and their offices on special requests and projects. Prior to joining CenterPoint Energy, June served as the director of Constituent Services for Houston City Council Members Chris Bell and Judson Robinson, III. Before venturing into local government, June served as chief of staff for State Rep. Fred M. Bosse, overseeing operations in both the capitol and district offices. June also worked as field director for both the Harris County Democratic Party’s Unity ‘90 campaign and U.S. Rep. Ken Bentsen’s successful 1994 campaign. In 1992, she served as deputy primary director for the Harris County Democratic Party.
As a student at The University of Texas at Austin, June volunteered for numerous campaigns and worked at the State Capitol. She added to her political experience by completing internships with the Texas Legislative Council and the Legislative Budget Board.
June spends her free time giving back to her community. Currently a director for the Texas Lyceum Association and graduate of Leadership Houston Class XIX, June serves as a volunteer and board member for several nonprofit organizations, including Hermann Park Conservancy, Kiwanis Club of Houston, Houston Texas Exes, UT Black Alumni Committee, and Planned Parenthood of Houston & Southeast Texas. Houston Mayor Bill White appointed June to serve on the boards of the Miller Theater and Houston Media Source. Since 2007, she has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Lon Morris College.
A native of Palacios, Texas, June graduated from Palacios High School in 1983. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas and a Master of Liberal Arts, with a concentration in political science, from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. She currently resides in Houston.
Lindsay Taylor Munoz
Lindsay Taylor Munoz is treasurer of Y Gen Out Loud. 
After graduating at the top of her high school class in 2000, Lindsay moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas. She began her career in marketing and public relations when she was hired for a coveted internship with Public Strategies, a management and campaign firm spearheaded by former Texas Gov. Ann Richards. At Public Strategies, Lindsay’s responsibilities included interacting with clients, developing multinational corporate surveys, and researching markets. Her interest in politics only grew while transcribing archived Oval Office conversations between President Lyndon Johnson and other influential Washington officials.
Lindsay graduated from the McCombs School of Business with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and a minor in International Business. In 2005, she became communications director for State Rep. Mark Homer. She acted as his press secretary as well as staff liaison between the Capitol office and the district, maintaining communications between the elected official and his constituents.
In fall 2006, Lindsay took a leave-of-absence from state government to work on Rep. Homer’s re-election campaign. While back in her hometown of Paris, Texas, she organized a disciplined media outreach program for radio, television, and newspapers, and an aggressive email initiative to encourage voter turnout.
While at the University of Texas, Lindsay was a charter member of the Women in Business Association and served as president and public relations officer. She supports the university through her memberships in the Texas Exes Life and University of Texas Club. She actively supports the involvement of Generation Y women in business by participating in Austin/Capitol City Business and Professional Women and the American Marketing Association.
Linda Young
Linda Young is secretary of Y Gen Out Loud. She also heads the Governmental and Community Relations Department for the Austin Community College District, where she has worked for more than a decade.
In her present position, Linda is responsible for coordinating the college’s legislative agenda, representing the institution before all levels of government, and administering the district’s elections. Under her leadership, the department established the Center for Community Based and Nonprofit Organizations, which provides resources, networking, and learning opportunities to more than 5,000 nonprofits in Texas, as well as the Center for Public Policy and Political Studies, which gives students a positive opportunity to participate in the public policy process.
Related to her work at ACC, Linda helped form a community collaborative to benefit underprivileged students in a small suburb east of Austin. The public-private collaborative includes city leaders, local business and community organizations, churches, and parents groups, as well as the school district and ACC, working together to find ways to encourage the students to continue their education. While president of the Manor Education Foundation board of directors, Linda helped secure a $1 million endowment for the organization.
In addition to her work at ACC, Linda has served on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including Community Action Network, Goodwill Industries of Central Texas, Caritas of Austin, and American Association of University Women. She also is a graduate of Leadership Texas, and a recipient of the Athena Award, a national leadership award for women. Linda’s experience in governmental relations includes several years working as a lobbyist at the local, state, and national levels. She also served as CEO of a start-up Texas state agency, and received national recognition for her successful initiatives during the agency’s first five years.
Her academic work includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University, and all the coursework required for a Ph.D. at Texas Women’s University in Denton.
